A matter of loaf and death

I know there are some ardent Wallace & Gromit fans out there, so I’m posting you some Christmas cheer with the news that they will be all over BBC 1 this festive season, with special idents to promote their new TV special. A Matter of Loaf and Death will be shown on BBC 1 some time in the coming holiday.
Fans of Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit can expect a similar string of gags as the pair launch a bread-making business, Top Bun, and convert 62 West Wallaby Road into a bakery complete with robotic kneading arms. Wallace falls ‘dough-eyed’ for seductress and bread fan Piella Bakewell while Gromit focuses on more pressing matters, attempting to solve a murder mystery.
The really good news is that A Matter of Loaf and Death is also being promoted by Kingsmill bread and Pyrex, with a range of non-stick bakeware collectibles available free from Asda. Ee, tha’s mud in yer eye, chuck. Cheap white bread and cookware that comes with the tagline “Why pay more?” Promotions for recessionary times. We love ‘em.
